I worked on this project as a UX/UI designer and product manager. I completely reworked the app’s first version into a new design, including branding, logo, colors, fonts, and the overall visual look. The app is now with the developer and will soon be available for download. As it’s an MVP, further work, testing, analysis, and adjustments will be done moving forward.
In the project, we decided to continue after the initial prototype of the app, named Safeback was released, which was developed in FlutterFlow. Around 80 users registered and tested the prototype. After gathering feedback and conducting further competitor analysis, we decided to proceed with the app and design its MVP.
Here are some screenshots of how the app looked.
Women, especially aged 15–35, often feel unsafe when walking alone at night, especially after parties or events. This is a bigger problem during high school and university years because they go out more, rely on public transport, and don’t have access to cars.
Key issues include:
This fear is a daily problem for many women, whether they live in small towns or big cities. They don’t have enough tools or support to feel safe in these situations.
The app has the potential to become a trusted tool that helps women feel safer in vulnerable situations, such as walking home alone at night. By focusing on features that directly address safety concerns, we can make a real difference in their daily lives.
